URBAN CLIMATE RESILIENCE

Urban Climate Resilience is defined as an urban that have ability to prepare, respond, and recover quickly from disaster and climate change with minimal impact on vital sectors. Urban climate resilience is a national program in Indonesia. Adaptation is used to be strategy to anticipate negative impact of disaster and climate change #UrbanClimateResilience #APUFY2015

Urban climate resilience can be realized by updating data of aset and population in urban, especially in disaster areas. In addition, effort to create urban resilience can be realized by formulating concept of mitigation with spatial planning oriented. Government can give recommendation of land use and regulation in disaster area.

Based on research conducted by Mercy Corps and ARUP in 2012, Semarang declared be urban climate resilience in Indonesia1.

BHINEKA TUNGGAL IKA

The difference is not a reason for disunity, but should be a strength. It can support each other to complete weakness and strenght. Beside that, it can make colors of life be more beautiful.

Indonesia  is a big country and one of the countries with large population  and  various characters. They live in many different areas with diverse culturals, local languages,  races, ethnics, religions, and faiths. But, diversity is not be problem in this country. In fact, it can be a strength to create tourism destination.

Bhineka Tunggal Ika is a is a motto of Indonesia.  In old javanese language often translated "Unity in Diversity". It is used to describe unity and integrity of Indonesia. Bhineka Tunggal Ika be a philosophy of life in Indonesia #APUFY2015 #BhinekaTungalIka

APUFY 2015

Asia-Pacific Urban Youth Assembly (APUFY) is a large-scale multi-stakeholder forum with the aim to provide a regional platform for urban actors to articulate urban issues and solutions impacting their lives and communities. It's organized by Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Asia Development Bank, and UN Major Group for Children and Youth. It will held on 17-18 of October 2015. 300 Participants will invited in this event.

There are 150 participants from Indonesia who will be ambassador of  Indonesia in Asia-Pacific Urban Youth Forum. They were selected from more than 989 Indonesia's applicants. Pre-Event  Asia-Pacific Urban Youth Assembly, 21-22 of September 2015 in Sahid Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia #APUFY2015
